Title: All Around T-Bird Project
Post by: Thor Power on May 12, 2007, 10:13:01 PM
:D Well, I painted my 1988 5sp car from black to granite grey (not Ford coded) that I'm going to use for long distance and daily driver (all around T-Bird) and I will post pictures shortly. I didn't want to shell out to much money because I have another T-Bird I'm modifying for performance ($$) so some of the dings are just painted over. I have some challenges. I'm redoing my headliner and floor carpet. The floor carpet is straight forward and I've read the threads on it. I have the factory moonroof so in earlier threads I've read, it is better to get a full piece header, then cut out the moonroof portion.

I have search the web and there are some company's that sell pre-molded headliners (and flooring) for our T-Birds relatively cheap. ($150+). Has anyone replaced their headline w/moonroof or sunroof? What's the hard part?

Shouldn't be hard at all, same as a none moonroof car just with a hole in the middle with a rubber interior moonroof moulding.
Hardest part will be getting the old one out the door and the new one in without wrecking it.

Seats out door wide open.I had my seats out anyway, made the headliner removal/install really easy.Plus,it only takes a few minutes to pull the seats.
