Title: I got dumped!
Post by: 1986Tbird on January 27, 2005, 11:05:10 PM
For spending too much time with my car. It pretty much went down: we havent seen eachother enough, so I dont think its gonna work out. I am kinda relieved because now I can spend all my time with my car and not feel bad doing it. When will girls learn what guys priorities are? :slap:

I have been married for 1.5 years I still get that speach everyweekend.

If I say I am going to get parts all she hears is "parts, cougar, money" nothing else.

Don't feel bad it only gets worse when and if you get married.

He's right you have to share your interests.  Often I have my wife come out in the garage and play cd's for me or just talk to me while I work.  She is very good about not complaining about money and time spent on my bird.  Sorry to hear about your breakup.  I guess you will have to do a pre-test on the next girl to see if she is compatible with your car. lol.

My girlfriend realized that she was either going to have to stay home and pout or just join me and help! Now she likes to work on cars more than I do! lol... is that cool or what?

Yea, take her to the mall and visit the Sears tool dept.. Ask her which ratchet set she would like to have... You'll know if she's compatible soon enough... :grinno:

Took some pretty hard core shiznit to get over the last guy huh?  LOL!

Could be worse though,  you could have a psyco GF that gets Jelious of the car.  Try having her take a swing at it with a bumper jack!

i don't think my girl friend cares either way about cars. she says that she wants a cougar but i know it's :bs: well at least not a classic or fox body. she likes the newer ones :disappoin at least when she is in my cougar she does'nt bust my ball$ about how i drive it.. she sits down shuts up and holds on!!!

when it comes to tools as long as i let her play with mine she's happy

other wise she will get pissed!!

the only thing that seems to set her off is when i'm playing Ureal Tournament and Urban Terror  with the guys.. when she is around... but if i'm screwing around the car she won't!! go figure :dunno: i guess some would say i'm lucky.. i say!!! if they say so

I have been married for almost 8 years and have dumped money into 4 different Fords, none newer that 94. I am lucky that I have a very understanding wife. Not to mention she likes it when I get my 2 yr. old son out in the garage to "help" me and get him out of her hair. And it's not like I am rich or anything (Navy LT) but as long as I pay the bills and do the husbandly duty (can I say "yodeling" on here?) she is good about it. I am about to buy a new set of Gen 2 wheels for the Lightning. I am getting a smoking deal, but it's a pretty good expenditure nonetheless. She's not crazy about it, but she knows I don't mess around, drink, abuse her or the kids, or stay out till all hours. She lets me have this one vice. My advice; a gearhead who's getting his own "oil change" on a regular basis is much happier than one who isn't. Just my 2 cents.

OH man, that's rough!!!  :disappoin

Call her up in a few weeks and ask her if she wants to go to Cat Jam

On second thought, nah. It would be a big distraction. Who else am I gonna get to install my radio equipment?  :giggle:

It's "Top Secret"!!!

Nah, just kidding Shawn. Nothing planned right now. I'm taking my car in for inspection this week, so within 60 days i'm going to be broke as a joke (again) - no budget for extra goodies.  :shakehead

Maryland inspection:  :flame:  :nutkick:  :bricks1:

My money:  :toilet:
