anyone have a pic of the timing marks?
What i "think" is correct.........
crank points to the 2 o'clock facing the balance shaft
balance shaft that drives the dizzy points to the 8 o'clock facing the crank
the water pump makes no difference
the overhead cam gear points directly up using anoval hole in the pully
try it? unless its an interference motor.
Engines that employ timing belts, like that one, should be non-interference.
honestly guys, i think it is non-interferance. the pistons are so darn dished (3/8'' atleast) that is would be amazing if it were classified as interferance.
I have tried the engine,, no start. i got a thread started on misc tech. just started this one to verify my belt orientation.
is this what you are looking for ?
