Title: Slave cylinder ?'s
Post by: stuntmannick on May 03, 2007, 11:36:26 AM
Well it turns out my slave on my '88 TC decided to take a dump.  I'm kinda stranded right now at school, but I have someone coming down to move me out and bring tools.

What is all required tool wise?  I realize i have to disconnect the hose and bleed it.  I can't get under the car right now to see for myself so any input is appreciated.

The hose fitting is held in place by a spring pin that you'll need to press out to release the fitting.  Other than that, a clip might be all that's holding the slave to the bell (I don't think I ever used oned though).  No real special tools needed.

The plastic cover has a 10mm hex head screw holding it on.  The slave slides right out and I used a small hammer and drift to remove the pin.  Put it back in with channel locks.  The blead is an allen head, don't know size.  Good luck.
