My dad called me the other day, and asked me if it would be worth it for him to get a 88 cougart xr-7 for 200 bucks. Its a running 5.0 HO for some reason, not sure if it was converted or swaped. Frame is SHOT he said, but the body looks ok from the outside(but being a fox you never know), inside is ok, and the 5.0 and the aod are good. Its a 8.8 drum rear? dark red console interior, and it had turbines, but he took them and put them on his bird cause his tires were dead. Now we have 3 sets of 10 holes, a few sets of snowflakes, and turbines. Hes gonna get it and summer we are gonna strip the 88 T/C and the xr-7, and im gonna restore a set of each wheel so he can decide which ones he likes best. All the other parts will be for sale. Ill be taking a bunch of interior parts, and odds and ends. Anyone looking for cougar parts? anyone have questions you want me to ask him about it tonight when hes supose to call?
Where is the car and how is the dash trim? Gauge surround and center dash piece.
Willing to part with the Cougar turbine center caps?
the car is in west virgina, he hasn't got it yet, but i told him to grad it, if we dont end up running the turbines on the t/c, we prob will sell, and im not sure on the condition of the inside, it won't be till next month when i can see it
Cool, if you do plan on running the turbines on the TC, I have 2 Ford centers I'll trade you plus pay a little extra for the Cougar centers.
I'm going to be on the lookout for two more Ford centers anyway so if I find them, I'll trade you a set of 4 Ford ones for the 4 Cougar ones straight up.
ok ill let him know, he doesn't like them so they might be coming off anyway. He misses the snowflakes, and 10 holes the tires on them are shot thats why he is using the turbines
