Finally, I will not have to worry about having this thing parked anywhere, or the city telling me I have to move it. I will be sellin' a few items off of it. I'll let you all know when I am done and have a for sale list. Never done this to a car before, but this is how far we have gotten this afternoon. The green is what the owner was going to paint the car......I was told anyway.
I will put up a new post when I get ready to sell things off of her.

That is " OH MY GOD" green man.
No, thats the "Ghettotastic Green". I see that color all over the place on caprices, olds auroras (the big fugly ones) and Monte carlos. It seems like between that color and the 22"rims everyone puts on them, they are looking to get attention.....mabey i should name it "Attention W Green".....:)
LOL. You got me laughing on that one dude. I actualy
almost like the color, sorry, but I like bright colors for some reason. Not sure why, just do.
Are those Mopar ralley wheels?
No. They are custom 4 bolt 15" wheels that were on my yellow cat before I went to 15".
I see it's a 5.0 car....are ya gonna go as far as the fuel lines?
Those are the last thing I need for mine to run ;)
And..I too like that shade of green...I always thought a Tbird would look good in that shade...with banana yeller (that's right.."YELLER") stripes a'la Cobra style...down the middle...yeah, I'm insane!
Wasn't planning on it. I'll have to see how easy they are to get out. I'm not much of a mechanic.
Green with yellow stripes would look pretty cool. Depends on the stripe.
Why? If I may ask.
I wouldnt mide that color too much either. But it has to be done right. I think it would look bad ass with the color scheme that 5.8fastcat has. Green on top, black on the bottom. There is an old Mopar with slicks that comes to our carshows, and its that color with flat black ralley stripes. BAD ASS. I'll get a pic sometime. Anyways, I like the color, it just has to be done right.
Sorry about the sarcasm. I'm assuming..hehe...that your asking why I am not tearing it down in more detail:
1. As a mechanic.......I SUCK!!
2. Time, since I cannot leave it where it is for long, because of city laws.
3. I'm old, and wear out faster than I use to. (Seriously, I'm wore out)
4. I hate working on cars. (Maybe it's just that I hate working-J/K)
5. I really suck as a mechanic.
It's mostly because of my limited time. I really would like to take the car apart in more detail, but I am concerned about getting in trouble AGAIN, for having a junk car next to my house. Eventually, I will have a pole barn (or very large garage) in back (2 years I hope), and won't have to rush at this, and maybe actually learn how to do allot of this stuff on my own.
I love how you pay property taxes and the local munility can tell you what you can and can't put on your property.
Get one of those enclosed car ports with the canvas you can zip closed. That way they can't see the car.
Dude If needed could I come over and get parts off that? I'm like an hour from you.
cougarse: Sure. I work 3 pm to 11:30 pm, 2nd shift. pm me.
V8demon: Isn't freedom grand.
Does that have a black interior?
Hmm I'm a first shift guy.. Do you work weekends?
Is that an 88? XR-7?
It is XR7. I think it may have been a 20th. Found 20th badges on the floor board. I leave for work at 2:30 pm usually. I may be working this weekend.

The interior is blue, and painted black.
If it's an XR7 it isn't a 20th.
I think when XR7Cat asked "Why", he was asking why you're parting the car out? From the pics it looks better than most of the Fox cars I've owned (and it has the moonroof!)
It is an '88 XR-7. Blue interior with a moonroof.
Ugh, that's so close to mine... I feel bad for the poor car.
Tell me it doesn't have a leather interior *cringes*
I'd love to take some stuff off of it but I'm a wee bit too far away.
Not for nothin, but wasn't there one in that green color where the hood opened up backwards up for sale on e-Bay about 2 years ago?
I've had this for a year or more. It's where the 5 speed and 5 lug came for my yellow car. motor needs rebuilt. Roof was not working, and the interior wasn't in that great a shape. I would have liked to have kept it, and maybe had it redone in the future, but I didn't have anywhere to store it. It has no transmission also, and is missing the Electronic dash that was inside before I bought it. It came with a skirt, but that was gone before I bought it also.
I thought there were some 20th XR7's. Can't remember, and your most likely right, but a moot point now anyway. It's an 87' by the way. The car does have leather seats, blue painted black. I'm not crazy about leather. They are actually in decent shape, with a few very small tears. Car actually came with almost all the bells and whistles for an 87'. Whoever had it (two people before me) should be slapped for letting it get in such bad shape.
Since I have 4 other cats, I wanted to keep what I could off the car at least. car needs allot more than it looks to have. Digital cameras can be so deceiving. I don't know yet how much time I have before it all has to go, but I hope not before next weekend. Allot has been removed, but there is so much more I want to strip off the car.
Never having done this before, it's allot more work than I expected. Now my hands keep getting dirty.....yuck :hick:
well i was gonna see if you could cut out that core support for me and a few other parts and see how much shipping could run me or even i come out and get em. But that is entirely up to you vic.
Cougar8775, what is
? You got me on that one.
the very frount of the car where the radiator and frount end bolt to
As long as the city doesn't give me a hard time about it, I think I will try to take the car all the way down. So, hopefully in a couple weeks I'll be done, and start a thread selling some of the parts. I wasn't planning on going this far with it, but since I'm getting allot of questions for parts, I'll try to do what I can as far as taking it all the way down. So anyone interested in parts, hold up, and give me some time.
thanks guys.
cool vic we can set up a time for me to drive out to get em. cuz i gotta go to OH anyway cuz mikey has a few things for me as is. But keep us updated. and becides the core support i need door jambs. the lower part near the lower rear trim in frount of the rear drivers tire. if ya can't get it its no prob
