I was jsut wondering if the Taillights from any 87-88 T-bird would fit an 87 Cougar? Since I need new ones, and like the look of the T-bird ones, I was wondering if they would swap out?
No...the taillights don't interchange between the Cougar and the T-Bird at all. You could take your lenses off, remove the inner reflector, and make a mask for round taillights, though. I did something similar on my old '86...see here:

OK, thanks
You could always just buy an '87/'88 T-Bird and put a Cougar front end on it.
Right... I've seen a cougar with a TC front on it, That was UGLY
Perhaps a T-Bird with a Cougar nose wouldn't be too bad.Just don't have T-Bird ANDCougar emblems on it.Just delete all emblems. That would look pretty cool.
IDK, anyone wanna photochop one up for us?
No it doesnt look good. Maybe if the car I saw was in better condition or had some wheels on it or something maybe, looked out of place with the cougar emblem in the grill, I liked the look of a more square, flat nose though.
When I was in high school I used to walk past a cream coloured 87-88 T-Bird with a Cougar nose on it every day. I liked it. The square Cougar front end actually works well on a T-Bird.
I test drove a 85-86 cougar with a T-bird header panel on it. The guy at the car lot said it had never been in a accident. I showed him where they had painted the spot on the grill black to cover the outline of the T-bird emblem that was left on the grill. Then I showed him pics of my bird and a pic of my 85 couagar. He changed his tune real quick. The cougar didn't look bad that way but I just didn't look right in my head. I guess I just know it should be different.
That's what I thought.I don't think the '87/'88 T-bird front clip looks right on a Cougar, but, the Cougar nose works with the Bird's body.I think it's the flat rear window on the Cougar that rejects the T-Bird nose.

Not a full nose conversion but a TC cover with the cougar lights and grill.
