More cars came with power by a long shot. Manual pass seat tracks go for about $10-$25. Driver's side go for $50-$250 depending on whether it's ebay or not.

, and I let a set of manual tracks for both sides sit outside and rust!  I was sure that no one would want 'em.

I have dual power seats. but since those are soming out to be reaplostered I wana keep them as a set( IF they ever get done), I'm going manual seats to save weight. Then I'll probaly go SN95 Grey seats in the front and a grey back seat from one of our cars.

Mustang tracks fit the seats...but not the floorpan...only T-Bird/Cougar tracks fit the floorpan...so you figure all this out. ;)

This is getting comfusing. I'll just try and we'll see. I *thought* all fox seat traxks fit all fox seats, but the tracks are spicific to the cars. But if someone here has donw stang tracks in a bird, do tell before 3pm tomorow.

Mikey... ever considered just leaving the power seats in the car?

The floor pans are different, that's why they don't fit.

I was going to change seats, I wanted to keep the seats and the tracks together. If I was going stang seats, I thought stang stracks would fit. Fox tracks will not fit, any idea's about SN95 stang or even MN12 birds as an idea?

REPEAT WITH ME: ONLY  1983 through 1988 Thunderbird/Cougar seat tracks will fit Thunderbirds and Cougars from 1983 to 1988. Not sure about about 1980-1982. MN-12 cars are unique in their floorpan...

CLASS DISMISSED!

why would you take a full option car and start pulling things off it????  I don't understand.
Title: Manual seat tracks
Post by: 84 Fila on April 21, 2007, 02:24:47 PM
To keep it a full option car for the future. I want the seats recovered, so I'm pulling them. I might as well keep the tracks with the seats. So thats why I'm looing for manuals. If I can't find a set, then they stay power. No loss. Not like I'm chpooing wires like they will never go back in, just removing them till I can have them done right

Dude, I'm trying not to be a dick here, but seats are the least of your concerns.  If I were you, I'd probably leave it power and keep your eyes peeled for manual tracks.

Thats the idea. I did pull the seats to clean under them and found over a doller in change IN the seats alone:D  Then a few ccig. butts and the normal stuff.:beatyoass:  Thanks for the widsom gained guys
