I'd take it. Seriously. A 98K mile 5.0 car in decent shape for a good price, yeah.

I'm a little concerned about the severity of the accident(s) it had though. New lights and none the header panel, front bumper, hood or pass fender paint quite matches.

It probably does have the 8.8. My 87 Sport does :hick:

BTW Vinnie, my Sport has perfect cups :P

Not by looking at the picture you posted.It looks to be broken on the upper inboard area.That part should be all the way across.Just a slit to get the handle in.You have to twist and rotate to get new cups on.I hope I'm wrong,but it looks broke to me.

I think your right...

...on closer inspection the passenger one looks good and the driver's side is missing a chunk (i think). I'll pull them out (carefully) and have a looky-see.

I'm gonna have to say it doesn't look as awful as I'd expected when I read the thread title.  At least it's not a 3/4 roof, which is better suited to the Cougar's square roofline.

HAH!  The thought of Eric letting go if his prized stash of NOS parts (I think he's got an entire car's worth of parts) is quite laughable!
