This would be cooler if it would work for the aod

Yeah it would, I guess you could always switch transmissions. But then again any transmission switching I do will be to a t-5.

Brian (Ifixyawata) told me you could use paddle shifters with the 4R70W transmissions because they're electronically controlled.

Put a Baumannator TCS (http://www.baumannengineering.com/tcs.htm) on an AOD-E/4R70W and you get ManuTronic; fully manual gear selection.

WkStill on this board (maybe, maybe it's cougarnuts) has a 4R70W in his '84 with the Baumann controller.  I think it was from him I heard about paddle-shifting.
