What lived on that motor?
lol,I think it was a raccon
Awesome Merc !!! Is that the computer where the back seat used to be in the Bird? Please explain it to me.
That is the ABS and Ride Control Computers.
yes, I took all the framework out that used to behind the seat to put in a firewall so I can have a trunk mount battery and fuel cell.
A 1970 Mercury Marauder X-100............Cool. :headbang:

DUDE get the whole car. assure your grandmother you will take good care of it and keep it original (and do so!) that is SOOOO beautiful. especially with the 429!!!
oh yeah nice bird too! lol
its a 69 lol, just need to find parts. the whole interior has to be replaced or I can do it to a show/drag car style. lots of that style show car around here
Sorry, it looked like a 1970 since the deck lid is body color.
In 1969 Marauder X-100's came with the deck lid and "tunnel" area painted flat black as standard equipment.
In 1970 the flat black treatment became an option on X-100 models.
If you haven't already been there, you might try the Marauder Message Boards for parts.

its been my grandmas car sence new
I finally, found time to get everything underneath the car hooked up and now it is off of the ramps, now I just got to take the radiator out, mount the explorer radiator, volvo i/c, plumb some lines with a blow though vam, hook up fuel lines and radiator hoses, and install an electric fan then I can fire it up!

One question, what radiator hoses do you use with an explorer radiator?
id say make some with those flex kits
you mean the metel flex hoses?
yea would most likely work the best for you since tis a custom application. They look cool too!
have some correct size steel tube bent to fit your application and use short peices of hose to attach them. paint the tubes to your taste and enjoy
Another option might be using -AN conversion pieces and stainless braid hoses. I've thought about that myself.
ya, all of those would look nice, just woried about my budget now lol, keeps geting smaller and smaller lol
