Title: Can I assign a password to access IE?
Post by: BCA on April 09, 2007, 04:36:19 PM
Does anyone know if I can have Internet Explorer require you to enter a password before it starts up?

I am currently running version 6.

Thanks,
Brent

What OS are you running, also what are you looking to accomplish (i.e.: locking out a specific user, or attempting to secure it in general)?

I'm running Windows XP Home.

I would rather not set up XP with different user logins, I would like to just secure IE by itself if that is possible.

Thanks,
Brent

You'll have to go third party in order to do that then. I suggest: http://www.toplang.com/internetlock.htm
