Title: Cold water under dash?
Post by: TheEskimo on April 06, 2007, 12:56:07 PM
Hiya guys, sorry if this is in the wrong place. On my '85 TBird when making right turns I will occasionally get a few cups worth of cold water  dump out from under the center area of the dash. This has been going on for a few weeks now.

If it helps, it's the 5.0 Elan and the heater is disconnected.

I am hoping this is something common and trivial, or at least an easy fix. I just can't figure out where it would be coming from.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like some left over coolant is left inside the heater box. Also it sound like the drain to your system is pluged. Just take a coat hanger and poke it out. Also maybe you have the pluged drain and it is just AC condensation

I started getting that when the AC is on last summer. Where is the drain located?

Look on the firewall, passenger side.  It is a little black tube thing.
