What did your compression ration turn out to with your heads and head gasket?
What cam do you plan on running?
Last but not least, are you going to do a dyno pull on it? *crosses fingers*
Compression ratio is 10:1 with the stock chamber size and .030 over pistons.
The cam is a Comp 266HR which is speed density friendly. The intake side is the same as a stock HO (@.050 210/210 HO cam) cam but the exhaust has 5* (@.050 210/215 266HR) more duration because Ford heads usually need some help on the exhaust side. The lift is also .533/.533 vs the stock HO cam ~.480/.480 with a 1.6 rocker.
I'm not doing a dyno pull any time soon but maybe if I have some extra cash after I finish some other things the engine will need (GT-40 style intake and 2.5" exhaust) I might. I'm guessing it should make some where between ~275-300 hp when all is said and done (I hope:D ). I do plan on running it at the track after I break it in though.
Just curious, how much did all that cost you?
Nice looking engine! i love the blue color.
~$2,250. That included a used HO block. That's not bad for around here. The trick is to find a good machiene shop. It may cost a bit more but in this case you really do get what you pay for.
