Ok, i still have the green pos, and im trying to fix all the problems so i can get the amount i want for it. Now it will only start in park, when you try to turn it over in park, it does nothing, put it in neutral fires right up. So i ripped the console out today, and checked the park safety switch, held it full depressed no difference, there is a little motorized box that moves when you depress the brakes, so you can't shift from park into gear without the brakes. The one in it, is un operational. Anyone know if that not working could have any effect on it? I moved it to lock and tryed to start it, no dice. Any info would be great. Its a 93 lx 1.9l automatic.
I thought the safety switch is on the tranny? Either way, you can fix it or just bypass it all together.
theres a little switch that it sits against once its in park. and then theres the lock. I am not willing to see if it will start in any other gear, but i need to know if the lock out would keep it from starting in park.
anyone have a clue about what im talking about? Ill explain it better, the park lock out does not work, will that being as its electrical have an effect on it starting in park? also i don't think its good that i can pull the key from the ignition while the car is running, and it stays running
