Look what I did:
This, some 3.55's and a dyno tune (the auto's have 3.31's) should make the go pedal more fun!
nice, can't wait to see how that looks planted under the hood

I likey
Now the Cougar deserves a blower too :D
Waaa Hooo!!!!
Screaming tire marks Mustang!
I have heard some good things about those blowers but they are not real high PSI. Good power boost but don't expect to eat any GT500's. Or do you have other mods to go with it?
Bryan
OK that TOTALLY Rocks!!
Try and tell her it was 'maintenance" that the car needed. Thats what I'm calling my 8.8 Posi swap since Since the rear brakes and tires were shot.
To fix my leaky tranny it's going to require a 5.0 HO MAF and modified AOD with floor shift. <--Maintenance and Repair!!
shiznit, If she's mad at you, it's worth it. I want one. But you would have to give me a stang to put it on
lucky little .
If your wife doesnt hate you.. shes a hella keeper!
What are you trying to catch all the bad guys.Nice buy.Did you ask first or are you f'd.
Step 1, install kit.
Step 2, install smaller pulley - increase boost to 9psi
;)
You should install strobes and use that as your patrol car ;)
that is wicked sweet. just remember...its easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission in the first place....
im working on getting gears, my t56 and hopefully a P1SC under the hood and tuned this summer.....god willing...
you, are a BAD man....
That has a possibility of happening. To do so would require bigger injectors. I can do that later as it's real easy to swap injectors on these newer Mustangs as opposed to a 5.0 (no pulling upper intakes). The wife knows I ordered the S/C. My new trick is attempting to get the aftermarket air intake I currently have to work with it. See here: http://www.modularfords.com/forums/2005-mustang/sallen-supercharger-and-jlt-intake-79384.html
Well, before she does, tell her I'm looking for a used Mustang or Cougar.:hick:
I'm not up to date on the 3V 4.6s. How much boost can you run on an otherwise stock engine before it begins to turn the exhaust into a parts bin?
A Paul are you putting on yourself, need help. Curious to see how that gets installed.
I'm gonna have Joe over at Mustang Magic tackle this one. I simply don't have the time for a project like this. I could do it, but 3 hours a weekend would put me to being finished sometime in 2009......
Here's how it's done. I think I've figured out a way to use my aftermarket intake as well. We'll see.....http://www.modularfords.com/articles/S197_JDM__Saleen_Blower_Install/1.html
Exhaust is already done and also lower control arms. When I threw the intake tube on and reflashed the computer with a tune for 93 octane, I got over 30 RWHP just from the tune & intake. A dyno tune as opposed to using the program from Saleen is good for about 20-30 HP extra. The car should run 12.2-12.3
Oi, that's shagy. I love the blower whine you get from posi displacement blowers. Anywho, good luck with the intake issue, and be sure to show the Cougar some love as well.
Update: I ordered some motor mounts that will drop the motor 1/2". It has been proven to add clearance where it is needed the most for these blowers....along the firewall. Hopefully it's the answer to my intake tube issue as well concerning hood clearance. Between that and a couple of other things I should be able to use my JLT tube WITHOUT heating it up and distorting it. This is something that hasn't been done yet as far as the no distortion part.....Wish me luck!
