Title: Junkyard prowlers...looking for MN-12 IRS subframe parts
Post by: Chuck W on March 22, 2007, 09:31:18 AM
What I'm looking for are one or two of the pieces of the IRS subframe where the bushings mount the SF to the chassis.

I'm hoping someone can just chop one (or two) off with the bushings.

I just need the mounting ears, not the whole subframe.

Anyone?

WOW!  You must have known I washiznitting the yard today for my brother in law's '95 Cougar!  The one I go to usually has a good amount of MN-12's.  I'll take a look!

Cool, let me know.

I could work with just one of the mounting points for now, but ultimately I might need more.

You see where the big doughnut bushings are ..with the vertical through bolts?  One of those "arms", or both a front and rear.

The Good News:  I found one complete.

The Bad News:  The yard that has it will NOT cut one up and I would have to purchase the ENTIRE subframe.  Cost $150.00.

To top it all off they didn't have a sunroof motor either......

Lemme know if you want me to grab it or not.

Look at the picture above....

Where the big rubber bushings are mounted.

I need a couple of those arms chopped off....preferably one front and one rear.
