i found heads that have 1.9 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves, will these work with stock pistons using the HO cam?
They should, but you have to check the clearance. Were they shaved?,Your pretty borderline with flat tops.
What kind of heads? Combustion chamber size?
they are from Arrow head technology i think, its something like that.
um, i cant remember but how small of chambers can i get?
Never heard of that company.....Got any info on them? I couldn't find anything.....The smallest chamber you can use on a flat-topped 302 AFAIK is the TFS heads.....
i thought stock pistons on a SO motor couldnt use TFS heads?
i thought there valves would hit the pistons...
Nope TFS heads are one of the few heads that work with the flat top pistons the SOs have. TurboCoupe50 uses those heads with a TFS stage 1 cam and flat tops with no problem.
*sigh*
the name is "Aero head"
the chambers are 69cc
130cc intake volume
3 angle valve job
mild head surface
7 degree locks
chromoly Retainers
1.90x1.60 s/s valves
.550" lift springs
all for $399
Looks like this is the place:

yep, thats it
I think you should save the $400 and buy either gt-40p irons, or pick-up a set of used alum edelbrocks or tickflow heads.
I bought my edelbrocks used for $700 shipped and they were straight from the machine shop ready to go.
Also look what a 69cc cc is going to give you, under 8-1 compression

well, i have the SO motor so i cant have those kinds of heads...
cant i get the chambers milled though?
I think they'd be decent heads on a supercharged engine.
You're looking at the top piston. The bottom ones labelled "85-87 HO" are more accurate and still on the low side (those have valve reliefs if they are tru HO pistons).....
69cc is a bigger chamber than stock and will lower CR. Stock HO CR is determined with a 64 cc chamber.
