Title: Grey Ashtray 85-88 style -- Got one, Thanks!

I need an ashtray with a gray front piece.  The grain style not the cube.  Looks like the basic woodgrain only gray and NOT brown.  The shipping zip code would be 11735.

I’m reading this here I don’t think I have what your looking for if I have one its the metal cube one that slips in for the floor shifter.

Yeah, I need the one that matches the setup below.  I need it before Carlisle.....I'm bringin' both cars this year if everything goes smoothly.....

I have one out of an 88 cougar but it is the Brown woograin style. If anything from what I see in those pics you could paint or cover it to get a similar look to it. I would tell you to try some Bare metal foil to cover a woodgrain unit. I know that the Bare metal foil company makes it in Chorme, gold , brushed allum, and many other types. It is basically a really thin foil sheet that has glue on it to stick it on. It is made for model car stuff and should conform to all the little nooks and crannies of the part. I've used it in several model cars. Also I've used it for many car, home related projects. Nice  stuff and if you clear coat over it the stuff looks great forever. Atleast that is the results I've had useing it and Wal-mart $.96/can spay can clear. Hope this helps you get the right looking ashtray for your car.
 

After another look at your pic of the dash trim that color looks alot like The Platnium color that SEM makes for painting plastic parts.

YES! the front panel must be gray.  I have a brown one already.  I need one that matches the rest of the dash componenets I've swapped over.  If you find one, GRAB IT! I'll take it.

O.K.,I think I may have made a mistake.I got two of the grey faceplates for the ashtray (They just snap on),but I didn't get the whole assembly.I can get the whole thing if needed,let me know.
