You can make just about any speaker fit in the doors. If you don't want to put in 6x8's just take some thin masonite ande make you a piece to cover the 6x8 hole and cut out the hole in it for your new speaker. As for takeing the radio out you don't need to remove and screws. You need those radio removal tools or and old coat hanger. Take the 2 U shaped pieces and put them into the holes in the front of the radio. Then pull the U shaped pieces away from each other. Then pull the radio stright out. You should be able to have the radio out in just a matter of minutes.

Sorry I guess I should have explained better. Masontie. That really fine pressed wood. The same thing the back of a clipboard it made out of. Or any really thin flat piece. Even lexan or plexigalss. Thin, flat,Simi-strong that is all you need. If any thing buy some cheap clip boards and just cut off the clip and use the wood. They should have those in Canada. LOL also try the lumber yard. Also the corect speak size for the 94 cougar is 6x8 in the doors and right beihnd the rear arm rest. I just recently got a 94 myself.

ahh haha i get it, thanks i'll try it out after it stops raining :beatyoass:  and i figure out how to get the stupid door panel off, so far every diagram i've seen has done nothing but confuse me, but yea when i get it done i'll put some pics up in case anyone else doesn't feel like using 6x8's(which to me are the dumbest things you could put in a door).;)

To get the  door panel off. 1st pop of the panel with the switches on it,2nd take out the screw right behind the panel you poped off. also take the screw out of the light at the bottom of the door. 3rd then pull up on the panel then pull the top part away from the door. There you have it off. The hard part is gettin it back on there right.

They make speaker adapters that will hold a 6 1/2 and a 1in tweeter. If there is a local car audio place you can ask them or look at Crutchfield.
