Title: headlights
Post by: jasontbird on March 05, 2007, 11:19:44 PM
I have an 85 T-Bird 4 eye, and my headlights are going out and I was wanting to put in something brighter.  I like the looks of the ones in Eric's convertable.  Where did they come from?  And is there rewiring required.  Thanks, Jason.

When I got my car, she had 4 mis matched ones. I just swapped for factory ( I think) headlight from an 85 Stang GT. Now they all match and don't look that bad. Probaly just the same thing. I think Eric has the H4? conversion lights. I know they have them on E-bay

I have H4's on the convertible, complete with the wiring harness kit. It's not a difficult swap but it's also not for everyone.

Ric is running Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams in his '85. They are more on the bluish-whitish side and give GREAT light at night. He said it cost around $100 for all 4. If it were me, that's what I'd do.

Thanks.  I was thinking along the lines of the Silverstars.  I put the bulbs in my 86 Mark Vii and they made an improvement on that.

My "Classic" has dim outlook at night.

Thanks, I am going to pick up some of the silverstars.  Looks like advance carries them for $20.00 ea.  I have bigger fish to fry than rewiring for lights right now.
