where is net and gross horsepower messured from?

Net H.P. is measured @ the Flywheel with all accessories being spun.

Gross H.P. is measured @ the flywheel with no accessories

oo ok, thanks,
because i just read my this big owners munual for tbird and cougars and it says that the 88 tbird has 165 net hp, and 250 net foot lbs/torque

Sounds a little off.  I thought it was more like 155/265.  But I may be wrong.....

You're both right. '87 had 150/270, '88 had 155/265

Knock another 20% off for rear wheel horsepower, I think.
