On Blue,the vacuum lines were different than the Sport's (most of the lines broke when the engine swap took place).I think I'm having vacuum problems,but can't be sure.Does anyone have a detailed description for where the EGR,FPR and other vacuum lines go?The Smog lines (2 vacuum lines) are capped since it's smog delete.There's a white vacuum line from behind the inner fender that is capped.If I start from scratch,where does everything need to be connected to,and what can be deleted??I got a code that stated my EGR isn't opening.I swapped it with another I have and no difference.What the heck?hate this ........a lot.
The EGR, and all that can be put anywhere that there is vacume. It doesnt matter where its coming from.
Only things you need vacume for is your HVAC (line runs into the firewall by the heater core), your FPR can go anywhere, as can your EGR if you keep it. Your cruise control usually goes to the vacume tree on the firewall.
As long as you put your vacume lines where there is vacume, it doesnt matter really. Put em where they look good.
10-4,and thanks.I'll need to go buy some new vacuum line.I may go find some small aluminum or steel tubing and make some hardlines.Brake line "sticks" may work,they're easy to manipulate.
if you pull it off well enough, itll look good with brake line, just flair the ends a bit so the rubber line can bite
you can even polish the brake line
That's what I was thinking.It'll match my intake and the other polished aluminum pieces.
The EGR vacuum is controlled by the EEC with a solenoid operated vacuum valve.
The HVAC should be on the vacuum reservoir side of the check valve to keep the doors in the HVAC from flopping around when the manifold vacuum drops.
