I am trying to put a 351W into my '88 bird, but I believe that I will need a hood with a 3" riser in to middle. I found one for an '87 bird, but am being told that the hood will not fit the '88s. Are they misinforming me? I thought that '87s and '88s are the exact same basic body style. shouldn't the hoods interchange?
1984-88 directly interchange, both Cougar and T-Bird. 1983 hoods had a different factory p/n but as far as I remember, we figured out here on the board that it was due to a slight bolt rearrangement where the hood bolts to the hinge. Nothing that can't be easily fixed. So in essence, all 1983-88 hoods interchange.
