Post by: vinnietbird on February 23, 2007, 04:57:18 PM
Is there an adhesive that can bond one part of a bumper cover to another strong and permanantly?.I have a plan, but need to bond two pieces of the "rubber" bumper covers together before I can do it..

3M makes a something... http://www.3m.com/Product/information/Bumper-Repair-Flexible-Parts-Repair-Material.html

A call to a local body and paint supply house may turn up something else too.

Vinnie,
The #M stuff works great. THey make a patch kit. It come with a mess fabric that can be used on the back side to reinforce the reapir.
It will require a special mixing gun. The body supply place here will lend theirs out.

I'll check that out.I don't have those kind of body supply tools,so Ihope they'll loan one here.I have some cool ideas for my rear bumper. It'll somewhat change the appearance, yet still retain a factory look, which is what I'm all about."Factory appearing" mods.
