Title: Vacuum line question....
Post by: vinnietbird on February 17, 2007, 12:00:13 AM
When I installed the engine in Project Pheonix last week, some of the vacuum lines were different than my blue T-Bird Both '88 5.0 cars).I had to change a couple of lines to mate up with the Explorer intake I have been using. On a stock 5.0,where does the Fuel Pressure regulator vacuum line hook up?It goes from the FPR to ???

it goes to the "tree" of metal lines on the left side of the upper intake (if you are standing on the passenger side of your car facing the throttle body opening)

Scary,I just PM'd you about that.Thanks.My car has an Explorer intake,so the vacuum tree isn't like the original was.I'll hook it up to the intake and see what happens.Right now,the FPR is split into another vacuum line going to the intake.I'll mess with it tomorrow.I still have to pull and plug the smog equipment vacuum lines (they're plugged, just not removed yet),since I don't have smog stuff anymore.By the way, how's the Cougar running?
