I was at AZ tonight so I looked at the Monroe strut mounts kit for the T-Bird. $27 ea. Is the whole kit necessary, or is there a way to save a few bucks and replace just the bushings?
This weekend Im doing the entire rear suspension if I can get on the lift, otherwise it will be Monday.
Sometime mid-week Im doing axle bearings/seals. Ive never cracked a diff open, so all I have is a Chiltons to guide me. When I pop the cover off is there a definitive way to determine the health of the T-lok?
The bushings on the stock mounts are not replaceable. The aftermarket kits covert them to the "cup" style the Mustangs used.
The added bonus is you can then use the poly bushings in them. No added NVH, but it does help locate the strut better.
