Title: fuel injector woes and solutions
Post by: jncocowboyx on February 09, 2007, 12:40:08 PM
well, i went to replace my o-rings on my fuel injectors today, and the pintle caps were so brittle that they just fell apart. i've been stressing all morning about having to buy new fuel injectors because i don't have a lot of money, but i've found this website that might help out anybody else with the same problem later on down the road. http://www.lindertech.com/injparts.htm (http://"http://www.lindertech.com/injparts.htm")\
also, i found a pretty good price on a rebuild. http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/fuel-injector-cleaning.htm (http://"http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/fuel-injector-cleaning.htm")keep in mind that i haven't patronized these guys yet, but i'm sure someone might wanna do this down the road. i hope this helps someone else out.

Look under "fuel injector rebuild kit" on E-bay.They have a kit for less than $20.00 that will do 9 injectors (yes,I said nine. They send extra parts),and it has o-rings,spacers,ans screens.I ordered a set last night.I've used them a few times. The screens are a good thing to replace.

Yep,, replace them back in their original box:D  if you want a secondary filter system,, dont put em in, just install a second fuel filter.

These things are the number one cause of "hesitation" imho.,, but im not an ASE mechanic so dont take my word for it.,, i just figure stuff out as best i can.
