Are they the same?  Ive got a set of aluminum bumpers off a 79 lieing around doing nothing except weighing less.

A 79 is a box bird right? What are you trying to swap them to. I don't even think you can swap a box bird bumper to a "areobird".

No, a '79 is not a Fox car.... and no they will not swap.
(This is assuming you're referring to a '79 Tbird)

If it's another '79 Fox (Mustang/Capri, Fairmont/Zephyr)...still the answer is no.

They are 79 Fox Mustang bumpers.  Will they fit on my 86 Bird?

If not, ebay they go, I paid $25 for them and they go for $150+.

he means since the bumpers he has are off a 79, won't they fit your 80 box cat, but they are mustang bumpers therefore, not able to fit your box cat.
