Title: Does anyone know of any lincoln forums out there?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any forums dedicated to lincolns, specifically the mark six lincolns? My dad is in the process of restoring one and there are some parts/pieces that he would like to replace due to be faded and worn. If anyone has any ideas on where he could find some info or even the part itself, that would be REALLY awesome. Thanks!

I'll second that. There's also http://mark8.org/lod/ but I don't know how much you'll find on the older stuff there.

There's a club called Lincoln vs Caddy or something like that that was really good. You'll have to Google it, but they were good and friendly too.

grandmarq.net Grand marquis/ltd/crown's related forum, but in reality it's a forum for full sized Ford branded...

I see a posts here concerning Lincolns...

There's also the thelincolnmarkviiclub.org (http://"http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org"). Mostly Mark VIIs but someone there might be into the VIs.

I love the lincolnsonline.com site. Before I found this site, that's where I would go and learn about the 87-88 Turbo Coupe braking system. (Same as MK VII) Learned how to polish clear headlights as well.:D

BTW, I'm on my third Mark myself.  Had a Mark 4, a Mark 8 and now have a Mark 7.  Also have a 78 Conti Limo.
Some of these Lincoln sites either have a heavy presence of 60's Lincoln owners or Mark 7 and Mark 8 owners.  You may want to find both a good Lincoln site AND another Ford site that has a lot of Ford owners of cars on the same platform.

I think your car is on the Panther platform.  I don't know much about the Mark 6 other than what it looks like.
edit: I went to that site and searched "Panther" and someone said "[the town car] has the same Panther platform as the Ford LTD/Crown Victorias, Lincoln Mark VI's, and Mercury Marquis."  That helps a lot with the parts search.

Recently. Nothing special, just cheap and clean. I wanted a backup to the '85 and wanted overdrive.

Even with my huge bias towards Lincolnsonline, I think the 80-89 Town Car/Mark VI forum is one of the most comprehensive and easy to use databases out there.  Crownvic.net and grandmarq.net are also very good too.:)
