Post by: P71 on February 02, 2007, 08:40:31 PM
I called Summit today. The reason why the exhaust kits suddenly aren't in the new catalog is that they've been dropped. They do still have a 2.5" mandrel dual setup for Rustang LX's for $140. Just add tailpipe extensions...

Hearing about you doing all yours work on yours makes me wanna go to wv, and pull the motor out of mine, and do it up.

Whatever vendor that actually made the pipes is probably still around. It was just nice for the stock guys to have a 2 1/4" replacement dual setup. I bought one 2-3 years ago and was very happy with it. Oh well, guess I'll have to buy a mandrel machine now huh?

The manual 87-88's had them. Auto's had a single. I may have this backwards so bear with me.

I just put 88 t-c tailpipes on my t-bird from autozone and they fit excellent.Probably a litle restrictive though,going from 2 1/2 to 2"
but sure made it quiter until the motor broke.
