I can get a 86 tc for free. It was going to be a race car so alot of the interior was gutted. What kind of money would a 86 bring with a carbed 5.0 with trw flattop forged pistons, x cam, ported e7s, and a c4 with shift kit and a cheetah shifter. its got a 7.5 rearend with 3.4x lsd. I might put a kirkey race seat in it. But I'm not going to build it if I can make money on it. The body is straight, and I think the paint is good too. I going to take a look at it this week. Its one of my friends that he wants to get rid of. What do you guys think I could get out of it if I sold it when its done. I'll post pics of it when I get a chance to get over there.
Ill give you a dollar.
post up some pics. then we can guesstimate by the pics..
Yeah I'm going to try and get pics of it pretty soon.
Truthfully, a Mustang with the same engine would be worth more and easier to sell. Seems we're the only ones that like these cars...
I drive a 93 mustang coupe. But I use to have a 87 tc and I really don't want to see another tc become s. Because if I don't take it he's going to take the rearend and s it. He's tired of it taking up space and he already has a 88 tc. I would need to make around $1500 to be worth it. Do you think I could get that. And do you think it would bring more money in if it had a normal interior or if it more race oriented with a kirkey aluminum seat and fabbed up dash?
Honestly, modified TC's have been the ticket for $$$ for years but in the last 6 months stocker prices have skyrocketed, ESPECIALLY the 83-86's. $400 TC's are suddenly $1200 TC's. This is a VERY good time to buy one, make it nice, and make some quick coin. I haven't been able to hold onto one for longer then 3 weeks.
about 120 bucks s ;)
haha, it aleast looks like a car again.

Yep At leats you can do something with it... i may even have a suprise for you
:D
I just bought my TurboCoupe for $700 and drove it home and to work all this week. Last summer I bought one at the Dealership I worked at for $300.00 and drove it home. Then I parted it,made $$
on some parts,Put a 2.3turbo Mustang together with the drivetrain drove it six months and then sold it for $1500. I bought my 87 sport for $300 and had to trailer it home. So anywhere from $300 to $1000 would be a fair price all things considered.
wait a sec.... what the 'ells going on here! :D
that looks like sleeper's old TC!!! it didn't hit me until I saw the hood.
It is ...THE HOOD LIVES ON!!!!!! :toilet:
