I've figured out that the last 6 digits are the kms, but what is the '1' in front of it mean? When it rolled past 199,999?
If that's so I've got a LOT of kms!
yeah the 1 in front of the numbers should be larger then the rest by a little bit if its the exact same size you might be lucky and it hasnt rolled over yet. on the other hand it stays at 1 so it may have been rolled a couple times
It's a touch bigger. Does it signify 199,999? or 100,000?
that means its rolled over once at least then which would be 199,999
313,999 kms!?!?!
Either that's wrong or my car was kept IMMACULATE. :dunno:
well it could be 213,999 which isnt really much if you had someone who took care of their car before you got it. my cougar parts car had almost 200,000 miles on it when I got it and the parts that werent damaged in the wrecked looked almost new
Hit the E/M (English/Metric) button to switch to miles, then multiply that by 1.61 to get the real KM.
313,999 km = 195,030 miles
213,999 km = 132,918
113,999 km = 70,806
Mine says 189,132 km
E/M button: 179,585 miles
179,585 * 1.61 = 289,131 actual km
Soon it'll be over 300,000km, at which time it will
say 100,000 again.
GREAT DEAL ON A SUPER-LOW-MILEAGE T-BIRD!
ONLY 100,000 km !!

hahahahaha I paid $600.00!
my '87 cougar xr-7 w/digital odometer got up to 199,999.9 miles, then when I was all excited about seeing 200,000.0 it let me down, and went back to 100,000.0 miles!! so now it says 110,435.1 miles, but it actually has 210,435.1 mile on it. Is this normal for these digital odometers?
Yeah its completely normal, the first digit is only capable of displaying a 1.
The guys at for who designed these Odometers must have been thinking about the resale value. LMAO
