Just wait until you get old enough to not have a curfew (by law,if your area does).  Then you can really open up!

Took me two times:hick:.
First time was I my bird (brother's then).  Total of 1 hour exp. with a real wheel drive AND an engine over 3.8 liters.  Snowed and iced 2 days before.  FAIL.
second time was a week later, and I passed.
Never knew a 55 year old lady could scare me so much.

Sweet, you took it in a Trailblazer! I would have hated parallelling that thing for visibilities sake. Actually I hate parallelling anything. I avoid it like the plague. :rollin:

I have so many stories from driver's ed, it was great.

1. I drove an Escort until a girl sideswiped a Mustang. I watched it happen, hilarious. From then on I drove a Civic.

2. Had an instructor burn her hand on the intake manifold of the Escort (she was young and hot to boot)

3. I had to take a different instructor over to her ex husband so she could get her child support payment.

4. The girl instructor from #2 asked why I had my left foot on the brake and right foot ready to hit the gas on the civic stopped on a hill. (the car rolled backwards if you took your foot off the brake) So I took my foot off and popped the gas making the car lurch and nearly gave her whiplash.
and the list goes on...

oh, good times, good times

i took mine in 02 in my dads 00 hyundai elantra 5 spd.  i got so nervous when i pulled into a street during my test and hit first instead of second. then she told me to stop at a line right, "stop at that white line" well there were THREE F%^&ING LINES and aprently i stopped at the wrong one.  paralell parking is easy, i can do it in an avalanche.  and the key to getting our cars sideways is to get it BARELY sideways.  from then on you can gradually get it out further and further till your actually throwing the nose INSIDE the line your taking.  im actually thinking about getting wider tires and taking it to an amature drift event... now wouldnt that be interesting.  our long wheelbases would with wide tires has to feel great. (talkin like 10 inch wide)  im going to school for chassis building, im ganna build a race car chassis and put a TC body on it with a built 351 and go drifting (if i wanna go drifting, i've been thinking just dirt circle burnin with a bird, only seen one in my life of an 83-88 and it was like an 86 with a aftermarket fiberglass 87-88 nose)

keep it simple stupid.  if you wanna get sideways, keep it simple and small.  seriously.  last month i hit a dirt road 1 3rd asleep at about 65 and parked it backwards on the right side of the road facing where i had come.  didnt even hit the ditch.  they're fussy when sideways and demand attention to details.
