Title: question on fuel lines.
Post by: Clayton on January 16, 2007, 06:58:38 AM
Hey guys, as some of you know.. I had to replace the fuel pickup on my bird a couple days ago.. and while taking the old one out.. I broke a tab off of the plastic end of the pressure side of my fuel lines.

I was wondering If I could run a normal peice of high pressure rubber fuel hose instead of the plastic peice.. from the tank to the fuel filter... Because I believe thats the cause of my chronic automotive PMS.

What do you think?

goto your local parts store, they should have a ford repair kit.
Comes with a factory style end.

I've used those plastic repair ends, with alot of patience you can get good results.  Now you could run high pressure hose and double clamp it for safety but that stretch would cost you about $25 or $30 bucks in high pressure line.. Stuff cost like $6 a foot.
