72*F here in Maryland today. I picked a yellow wild flower growing on the side of the road on my way back from the mailbox. No mail, forgot it is MLK day.

The starter froze on my truck today.  I guess that could be called ice damage.

I just watched a show on the Montreal ice storm a few years back, and that ice rain you guys get down south sounds very scary.  I'll much rather take weather is the -30*'s, than ice rain.

Nothing like that! But the power went out shortly after I left for work this morning. Coincidentally it was a power line that I drove under this morning on my way to work. I had a gut feeling that it was going to break so I ran the stop sign. Family is home sick and they had to go to a hotel because it was too cold. Now I need to get out of here (@ work) before it gets dark and pick up the rest of my shizz. =/

Figures, just went grocery shopping too.

We were supposed to get 6" of snow in Chicago last night. So far we have 1/4" of snow with flurries still in the area. It's cold though only in the high 20*s.

Yes Yes Yes having lived in Michigan and Oklahoma, I would much rather drive in the cold. Don't want to live in it though!!

thats not even half the damage JUST at my place.  5 trees broke/had big branches break off, and came down around the house. It is kind of scary to be standing there and litteraly watch branches snap and drop out of the trees like we did this afternoon.  The worst part is , there are still trees dropping all over town.

Alex, your old stock hood off your Coug was destroyed by a tree today. bent the front edge right over at a 45* angle:toilet:  Had plans to make that into my next project hood too.  it.
So far all the cars are safe still.

Alex your hood is under this branch.  I put it up there to protect it from just sitting in the dirt behind the barn, which would rot it out.  guess I should have taken my chances with the rust issue:hick:

Wow. We didn't get much ice, but we did get our first "shovelable" snow of the season - about 4". I went out and played with the ATV plow for about an hour. Works good :D
