How does freezing rain,then 6" of sleet,and then some snow on top of that?????? Heres the real funny part "It was 70 degrees on thursday and freezing friday morning. What do you all think of this!!!!

I guess you guys got the tail end of the cold snap we are currently under up here. Last Friday we were the coldest place in Canada, -42.5* at 7:00am. (Thompson, Manitoba) The car did not like getting started that morning.
Today is much nicer, is only -27 out right now.
Our weather has been weird in a good way - it's been way, WAY warmer than normal. Plants and bushes are budding early, and my lawn is still green. We're set to have our first real snowstorm of the season on Tuesday, though - pretty amazing coming this late.

In Quebec, near montreal we have an over zero always in the christmas/new year Day, Now we have around -15 to -20 bizarre, I never see this...
Between Christmas and new Year, at "trois rivieres" some guys have engaved the maples threes to have his flow to make a syrup!!!.
And I don't remember where in Canada ( i guess it's in Quebec) , some Bears go ou to the winter sleep to reach some meal, or other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, poor bear, I'll sleep all the summer :hick:

Welcome to Kansas....it sucks. I went to Texas for New Years, and came back to 14 degree weather and snow, talk about a mood killer.
yeh i moved rom ga to nc for college, and they are very similar weatherwise. as for georgia, the news is always ontop of the "i could snow tommarow, this week, this weekend. and it wont. if it DOES snow, you'd get maybe 2-2/12 inches on the ground, grills and other things around the house thats not warm from the earth might have 12 inches of snow on it. the things is though, by noon, is always gone. water EVERYWHERE. and then that night it'll get below freezing again and not snow, but the water turns to ice.
i havnt lived in nc very long yeat, only since september, and i was expecting it to get cold b/c even in september november it was colder here than in ga. so expecting it to be colder than i was used to i got a nice coat with wool on the inside. saturday when i was out and about, i was wearing a short sleeve shirt. in JANURARY. georgia is even worse b/c more humidity.
its 5:20 am and the temp here is 60 degrees. the forcast says low 50's all day. in ga, its in the high 40's and raining.
Been around 40-45 here the past couple of days which is the coldest it's been. It's been warm enough here as late as last week for flowers to bloom. I had a Wasp fly into my car last Saturday while I was outside cleaning up the interior.
it's 3 degrees here now with a windchill of -3. Hey! everyone in warmer climates! clear out the bedrooms, we're comin for a visit!

whoa today was COLD. all last week and this weekend it was high 60's low 70's. but today was so freakin cold, it honestly caught me by suprise. i had my fall jacket on and i froze my ass off. that cold snap that hit the west and midwest you guys are talkin about finally made its way here. if it snows here, its a double edged sword. it could snow an inch here in salisbury (where i live) and not get a flurry of snow in mooresville (where my school is) and the city of salisbury will shut down completly. and vice versa, if it snows around here even an inch or less everything shuts down. i guess b/c it snows so rarely around here people actually get smart and realize that driving in snow and ice is dangerous and they're not used to it so they stay home. school could be canceled but i cant get there b/c im stuck. i can drive on mud and dirt, but not snow or ice. hell hydroplaning is bad enough!!! i just hope it doesnt snow during the week b/c thats like throwing a stick in my spokes. it's gotta be in the low 30's by now.

It has been -15 or more all weekend. with the wind chill bringing it down to about -60, and I am still wearing shorts! lol
Though it is starting to warm up now high to mid 20's by weeks end!
