Heres some pics of my 88 Mustang 2.3 turbo daily driver. It has the heart and soul of one t-bird tc that had some wiring issues with the abs and brake switch. I followed instructions on Stinger Performance
and wireed the vam,la2,boost switch. It runs real strong being on a diet. Being out of the TC that is. So hopefully nobody will hate me for this one. I sold many parts to t-bird and cougar owners,so it was like being an organ doner. And brought life to other "FOX'S".
:nkhk:
Personally I think the 2.3t belongs in the Mustang. I actually wouldn't mind having a 2.3t Mustang myself.
uhmm.... that thing has 5.0 badges (or at least it looks that way), 85ish GT trim and a 4-eyed conversion. You sure that's an 88? :p

Want to come to Lincoln, NE and get a G-body? I've got a '78 Grand AM (455/th400) or a '80 Malibu (was sbc w/ 5spd) that can be sold if you're looking for a project:D. Both need lots of work.
Neat car. Reminds me a lot of my old hatchback.
Someone rolled an 85.5 SVO, sat on a dealer back lot for a few months when one of the techs decided to do this conversion to his '80 hatchback daily driver. I ended up with this car for $1200 also. Sold the gold Saleen wheels to a restorer for $1000 so the car itself was pretty cheap. It was a screamer. Ran 14.2 the day I got it, ended up being faster with more boost, liquid-to-air IC, and a 4.30 8.8.
Here's a few pics taken over the years. It was stolen in '01 and recovered completely gutted. I still miss it a lot.

It makes me sick that people steal other peoples stuff, but that car is very sweet.Mine was pretty much a stock conversion. I was thinking of a turbo 351c,but it would be easier to do a 306 turbo,I have more parts to do a junkyard style turbo v8.
"86Elan" The grand am would be cool. My dad found a 73 GA 4spd
in Schuyler,NE in 1991. He bought it for $75 minus motor and trans. It was one of #187 built that way.Sold it to a guy in omaha for $2000 and thought that was a good deal, until i seen one on ebay for $10'000. Im going to be moving to NE in a couple months.I got a new job in Osceola,NE. My Aunt and Uncle's live in Lincoln.
if u going to ne next time u have a projecty car done like that coupe im jumping on it, if i can afford it i live in ri so its close enough
46tbird was that the one you popped a piston on? sux it got stolen.
Yep.
That's why it got a V8, hahahaa.
