to get a tattoo of a tbird or cougar symbol? I'd thought about it for a long time but can't quite settle on a specific design idea. If I'm going to find a serious enthusiast anywhere, it would have to be here!
Im getting one of the thunderbird emblem from sholder to sholder on my back. Money is the only issue.
I don't need a tattoo to prove I'm a serious enthusiast ;)
My brother-in-law, that sold me the car, got a tattoo of the T-bird symbol on his arm.
John has been wanting that for as long as i can remember... I think it would be really awsome... Wouldn't mind one myself now that I have a t-bird. :grinno:
im getting a running horse once i turn 18 on my arm i think, my mom said if she likes it shes gonna pay to fly me out and have it done at mami ink.maybe ill get a t bird on the other arm lol
Same thing I was thinking of, only maybe 10" by 5" or so.

I was thinking on my arm with my name ghosted into it.
No tattoos for me, thanks.
I would probably get the cougar symbol with the t bird wings. Not entirely sure what it would look like but I would get both covered.
Though I am not a tattoo guy.
Two years ago when I joined this board and Cougar Nuts, a guy asked for a pic of the Cougar head, I posted a pic and he had it tattooed and he posted pics of it.
I would do the same as xr7cat.
I wanna do a wrist to elbow sleeve of flames with things ghosted into the flames, the Cougar and tbird symbols being a few.
Funny you mentioned that, Roger asked Cody to draw something up for him with a Cougar in it. He'll probably wait till Cody gets licensed to have it done.
I have a cougar-related tattoo idea in the works.
I'm with Chuck,I don't need one to prove anything.
I wanted the cougar on one side and the bird on the other side of my back. There is a local shop that will do any tattoo for $30 as long as it fits in a 3x3 square.
I'm getting MacDonalds golden arches tattoo'd on my fat arse.
I can't understand why anyone would want a corporate logo permanently engraved into their body. How personal is that?
Depends on what role that particular item might have played in your life. I can see someone wanting to get it done. To most people these things are just old junkers but if you are really passionate about something I think you could get a Cougar or T-Bird emblem and it still be personal.
Of course you have always been of the opinion that these are "just cars" so I can see where your point of view is coming from.
That being said, I don't think I would get a tattoo of anything anywhere.
For many, many years I thought about getting a Cougar logo tattoo. Never did. It would be appropriate for me...but it's also not my style. If I were do to anything, I'd have the cat head either implanted or ritualistically scarred in.
Don't forget...I am a graphic designer. ;)
I figure if folks haven't figured out how much I'm into these cars....then they either don't know me or aren't paying attention. Another reason I don't plaster my car(s) with lots of big huge stickers, etc.
Also the fact that EVERYONE is getting tattoos these days.. (another new "fad")...is another reason why I'll probably never get one. (Same reason I took out my earrings I'd had for 15 years....piercing became "cool")
Anyway, I realize some folks are into it...and I will admit there are a few that I have found attractive on women, but I object to the implication that just because someone doesn't want to mark up their body, they aren't a "serious" enthusiast.
i want to do one my friend has one on his calf b/c his tbird saved his life in a bad accident anyy other car he prolly would have died
If i looked at my TC as 'just a car', you could be sure I'd have sold it fifty times over now. ;)
I just think putting any kind of corporate logo on your body is like being branded by the manufacturer. Like the person who sings the bad jingle without even realising it. An advertising firm's wet dream.
But that's just my take on it.
Think of it as a permanent version of a Cougar t-shirt. :D
For me its not about proving anything to anybody. I have a hat with the t-bird logo on it, Doesnt meke me feel like a 'bigger man' for wearing it, just showing my love for the model.
