Title: Cleaning House for a House
Post by: Ether947 on January 01, 2007, 06:14:12 PM
UPDATE!!!
Ok, so me and my fiance recently decided to buy a house. Which means the TC I was planning on purchasing had to take a back seat. For those that wanted to know my big secret it was an 88TC with a 351w that was going to get all the suspension goodies from my 88TC plus a 5-speed conversion. Would have been a fun car. But now I'm stuck with the 2.3. :(

Before anyone asks the Cobra brakes are already sold.

I prefer paypal buy I do accept money orders as well. For local pickups I am in Royal Oak, MI near I-696 and I-75.

87-88 Turbo Coupe Backing Plates --$40 shipped
(http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/4061/dsc02400ls4.th.jpg) (http://"http://img467.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc02400ls4.jpg")
I took these off of my 87TC when I converted to 5-Lug. One of them has part if the anti-moan and caliper bracket still attached because of a stubborn bolt. Can be used in place of SN-95 backing plates if you shim the caliper. Wish I had known that at the time. Come as pictured.

94 Thunderbird Center Caps --$20 shipped
(http://img322.imageshack.us/img322/3407/dsc02402hw1.th.jpg) (http://"http://img322.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc02402hw1.jpg")
A set of MN-12 Centers I bought in hopes that they would fit my Tri-bars. Come as pictured.

Turbine Center Caps --$10 shipped >>Pending
(http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/3299/dsc02403pc6.th.jpg) (http://"http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc02403pc6.jpg")
Two centers from a set of turbine wheels. Not sure how these got here. lol. Come as pictured.

2.3 Upper/Lower Intake Manifolds --$40 +shipping
(http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/4146/dsc02406ib2.th.jpg) (http://"http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc02406ib2.jpg")
I was saving these to send to 40bob for gutted/ported cores. Throttle body is still attached.

Magnaflow Bullet-type lers - $90 Shipped.
Another eBay purchase, bought these for my current exhaust system... decided that since the Bird is going to be out of action for a while because of the tank I may as well upgrade the entire system and be done with it. The are 2 1/4 inlet/outlets.

Are those actual lers or more of a glass pack?  Does it have a baffle inside it?

I went to summit for details and this is the closest match I could find...
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MPE%2D10435&N=700+4294922710+4294788249+4294906121+4294788248+115&autoview=sku

I'll have to measure the actual length when I get home.

I doubt I'll be needing it.  It's basically what I have now, a glasspack.  Thanks for looking that up anyway.

Have you had the magnaflows on a car? Or did you buy them with the intent to put them on? I might be interested.

Was going to, but I never installed them on my TC. I'm getting rid of my TC so I no longer need them. They are a little too small for my next setup.

Do you think they would sound like glasspacks, or more of a deep throaty, non-cackle??

I doubt they would sound anything like glasspacks. There are sound clips on their website if you want to hear what they sound like.
http://magnaflow.com/

What do you plan on putting them on?

I just put a new one in last night. About head out there and finish it up. I actually have an extra brand new tank. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or not...

Thanks for looking out though. :)
