Title: WTB: 83 - 86 T-bird
Post by: blu84302 on December 31, 2006, 09:23:58 AM
Central Ohio Area:

Any size motor.  Clean body and interior.  Paint doesn't have to be perfect just straight body panels.  Please if you know of any t-birds that are forsale let me know.  I need a new daily driver.  Looking around $2500, for something that i can drive everyday and have a good start for modifications.

Please see what i'm driving now, and if you could help me get into something better that would be great!

My e-mail is : xjohnny_lightningx@yahoo.com
Phone # is : 740-687-3652

Thanks.

Nice lookin car. Love the color, teh wheels, teh body and engine, just not the scoop. Sorry blue, but it just isn't doin it for me.

That's what claude and i were talking about.  I figure until i get a cowl hood, i'll just drive around without one. :pbb: The only reason it's there is because it has clearance issues.  Overall, it's a good starting point, compared to my current t-bird.

So take the hood off your current car. I may sound crazy but I think the primered hood with hood pins would look cool on that car.

Wait a minute, you painted the hood red didn't you? If you did primer it black again and you'll be set :D
unless you need a scoop or cowl to clear the air cleaner...

turn that "thing" around and make a hood scoop out of it.

a hole in the hood looks better than that :hick:

make one.. get some metal and make a cowl hood.

I gotta agree with Fila 100%. That car really does look sharp in every way EXCEPT for the scoop. If the guy wants $2500 for the car and says the hood is worth $500, tell him you'll give him $2000 and he can keep the hood!

UPDATE:  I've decided not to buy a different T-bird.  After looking around I'll still be dumping money into making it how I want it.  So my bird will begin a transformation.  I just spent a good chunk of change on CHE Control Arms, Progressive springs, and spring seats and isolators.

I figure, Suspension, brakes, wheels, drivetrain, body/paint and interior and mine will be good as new!  I'll be taking alot of pictures and hopefully by catjam i'll be to the paint part and lookin good.

I'm a little far away from you, but I could maybe work out some kind of deal if you are interested.  It may be cleaner than your car?
