Title: heater core replacement

would anyone know how to change a heater core in a 86 bird?

Its a fairly big ordeal in these cars.  Check out the website http://www.coolcats.net .  Look in the TECH section for heater core replacesment.  The website is ran by one of the moderators of this board, Ericcoolcats.

It's a big job,but not a hard one.Mostly just time consuming.

this is one of them times i wish i had my Z28 back.
The 83 cougar is not to bad but what was ford thinking when they did there heater systoms.

I just installed mine and it's really not that bad. The only difference from the instructions on cool cats was that my 4 bolts holding the steering column up were 9/16 instead of 5/8. Good Luck.
