Does anyone still have their original window sticker? If you account for inflation, my car was worth 24,000 brand new! Here's mine:
Not for my car but I do have one for my '88 Grand Marquis.
Those are cool :ies:
With mielage that close(I realise they are different cars) why would anybody bother with the 3.8 over the 5.0?
I dont have the window sticker but I have every other manual, card, brochure, and trade in paper for the F150 my dad bought new in '84. Back when you could get a new 4X4 truck for $16 485 cdn, he paid $11 395 with trade in. 'Back in the day'
Also gotta remember that that bird above is CFI and my Mercury is SEFI, then again, the Mercury is MUCH heavier, too.
I have the sticker for the 84 XR-7......
Thats exaclty what my college term paper was all about. At the time is saw no sense in it. Either you have a 4 cyl or dont piss around and get a v8. Now mind you, my 6cyl coug sat out in the parking lot at ECPI in va beach.
Here's one for a 5.0 Bird.... With better highway milage than the 3.8.. :brick:

Yup, but I am too lazy to scan it in. :)
My XR7 with leather and a moonroof was right around 19,000...IIRC. :)
27mpg out of a 5.0? ive gotten that out of my 3.8 before...
prob. depends at what speed you are traveling. maybe like 55 the 3.8 would do a little better, but at like 75 the 5.0 may gain a little as it doesn't have to work as hard to pull the car as the 3.8 would. I don't think I have my stickers. My car was purchased new by my grandfather so they might be around somewhere....
does anyone have one for a 85 Cougar. I vust can't remember what they look like
