Anybody got a pic of an 88 tbird/cougar engine bay with the engine removed? search came up with nothing.
How about an 85 TC ?
here is mine
btw,, has anyone else used a wratchet stap to hold up the tranny? I have often wondered what use the two eyelets were intended for by the engineers that i have my two hooks on.
thanks guys, that helps alot. BTW, looks like the strap works great, maybe today's engineers could learn something here.
the 2 holes were put there by the engeneers for the maximum motorsports strut tower brace to fit into lol
heres mine, ex 3.8L car converted to 5.0L::shakeass:
Hey,jcassity,is that the inner fender air silencer I see in the fender? Those are actually intended as trash can filler by Ford.
I thing the "eyelets" are for alignment dowels on the assembly line.
.
But don't quote me on that.
.
what's with the different color orange/red ?
I had some rust there that I sandblasted out and just needed to protect the bare metal from the elements for now. I Might paint the engine bay black today before I drop the 5.0L back into place. So excited though, I cant wait to crank it over and hear the HO purr. We'll see.
ahh, makes sense, I looked at it for a minute thinking you modded it and then painted over.(like, different mounting surface)
I plan on pulling mine out, but want to get an idea what kind of space I'll have, thanks again.
