Title: 83 TC assembly marking
Post by: rodsterh on December 01, 2006, 08:29:04 PM
Here's an interesting marking I found on my 83TC. I wonder if all 83 TC's got this?  84's?

And I wonder what the purpose was? It was obviously added after the car was painted but would have been covered up by the interior…some kind of identity marking for exterior trim?

I've had the rear deck apart on my 84 T/c and I didn't have that marking. I did find stickers on the seatbelt retracters that said T-coupe. I would say that someone else put it there. Just incase you are wondering mine was built 2/84.

I recall seeing something on the seltbelts too.  I’m pretty sure this car was not apart before and the angle and location of the TC would have had to be done with the back window out. My build date is 5/83.

I thought it was cool when I took my center console apart ans it has TURBO molded into it.
