ok i went to the daytona turkey rod run and some guy had a block from a 302 nice lookin with a crankshaft. he was selling for 100 but said you know what you can just have it. Now i have a block and a crankshaft where do i start? this is gonna be a fresh build. im gonna make it carbed btw bcuz i just love carbed motors im not really gonna make it that much power. just some power to get up and go with add a nice cam and an exhaust and im good.
not to be an ass...but if i were you and were planning on rebuilding it myself, i'd get some decent tools, and a coupla "how-to" books...
Stuff like torque specs wouldnt be bad either...
First though...take that block and crank to a machine shop, have them measured to make sure they're worth the hassle of dragging home at least..
oh dont worry about it man. so far the only thing i have read is the complete breakdown on a 302.
