No winner. We replaced the flexplate, which was FLAT... Think on that. We also bumped the timing up and put in another new starter. Pics up when I get up tomorow. Yeah thats right, it's 4:01AM and we started at 3pm. So if you want pics, tough shiznit till I get up. Nice guesses and idea's though
P/S/ for bonus points, who was helping me with the car. Your clues are he's a member with a cougar. No prize, you just feel good about you self if you get it right
Aren't you glad you didn't wait till I was done using my garage?
Man, i was going to guess that you guys were cuddling.
I'm sure there's an 8775 in his member name....
So, were the teeth all chewed up on the flexplate?

Ok, Since I just got up, the pisc will be alittle longer. John ( Cougar8775) was here helping me. The teeth on the flex were flat because the starter was grinding on it. Why I have no idea but it took 2 starters to figure this out. I have the garrage for 2 more days so if there are any cheap of free mods I can do let me know. I wana get as much done in the time I have.
Bleed the brakes.

Well the rear brakes are shot, so right now it has none at all. Bleeding will not fix it. Does anyone have any cheap, maybe local brake parts. I have the finned drum brakes and need basicaly every single rear brake part.
yeah i know we need to get them brakes worked out. but now think of the nice burnouts:banana: :headbang:  and it was nice driving it for a bit before it quit on me. We gotta get them vac leaks on it and but it will get done:evilgrin:
Mike, rear brakes are cheap. If I remember, you can get a set of shoes and brake hardware for under $30 for both wheels.
How is every single part worn out. The only parts to go bad are the shoes, wheel cylinders, and adjusters. That stuff is pretty cheap.
The return springs can wear out and sometimes break when you're taking 'em off. Even so, it's like $5 for the hardware kit for both wheels.
But, some other mods might be more important.
I wish I knew you needed that stuff.I just swapped out the rear in my car about a month ago and threw most every old part away.I'll check my extra rear axle out in the garage. It's been out there under the bench for about 6 years.I don't remember much about it.If I have the parts, you can have them.
find a TC rear end
Me and John are looking into the T/c rear. And every part was rusted, worn or broken off. It sat for too long and rusted and broke the springs. The drums havwe deep groves, the shoe's are gone, the springs are rusted or broke and the wheel cylenders are both leaking. So as I see it, I need everything.
its less than 25$ for brakepads AND springs i just did mine, and it only ran me about 25bux.
go for new.. it saves your ass in the long run.
Common sense.
Look like no more joy rides till I get paid on saturday then.
