Ok, after countless hours of research, I have come to the following Conclusion. "Brasso", The Metal Polish is a miracle concoction, capable of doing stuff it shouldn't be able to.

Why post this here? Well, let me explain.
After attempting to fix an old computer game using various buffing methods failed, I turned to the internet. I came across a wide variety of tips and tricks to fix the cd. All of them failed....until someone mentioned..."Brasso". I used the stuff on a rag and sure enough, it was the ONLY product that was able to take those deep nasty scratches out of the game disc. To my shock, the game worked fine. Keep in mind I took the disc to a "professional" repair place and they told me that their $1000+ Machine couldn't fix the disc. So when using a $2 can of Brasso did the trick, I was a bit stunned.
But, why post this here right? Well, during my hours of testing, I also found other uses for this stuff, most notably the cleaning of the Headlights (and windshield as well) on our vehicles.
Yes, this stuff will take the yellow right out of those headlights! I tried it on my mom's 96 Contour (Which had god-awful yellowing on the headlights) and it worked like a charm. Just a few minutes of buffing and presto! Good as new. I couldn't believe it. This stuff also works well cleaning glass too.
I also tried it out on my tail light covers, and it worked just as well.
I just wish I had known about this stuff before I shelled over 12 dollars and bought one of those Headlight Restore Kits.
I bought some of that when I had an iPod to take the scratches out of the stainless steel back part of it. I'll have to try it on some CDs. I played around with it and got it to polish a beer can to a mirror shine.
Brasso is good stuff
I use it too keep the tarnish off my antiqued wedding ring. (the antiquing process lends to spreading the black over the polished areas over time)
Works like magic.
Brasso is great stuff used it many times but never on Cd's or the plastic headlights sounds like it does wonders there too.
I use zep five star brass and metal polish, although before I found this I used brasso on everything. I think the zep is a little better though. They both are great on chrome.
Brasso works very well. I mix it in with my coffee...
Seriously though. I had this old apartment last year with the original sink (1969). One of the drains' chrome had been totally worn off, revealing the brown, ugly brass underneath.
A little Brasso knocked that out in no time.

IIRC the can says not to use on aluminum. Never figured out why. I've polished motorcycle cases with Brasso for years.
I've been using Turtle Wax Chrome Polish, and occasionally some Mother's aluminum polish, on my headlights for years. Yeah, it takes the yellowness out, but unfortunately it comes right back in a month or so.
Instructions: test in an inconspicuos place...

I've used a LOT of polishing products,and we used to use Brasso on our belt buckles and the like when I was in the military.I never thought to use it on car parts.Thanks for the tip.I'll get a can today.
