New guy here. I picked up this nice '88 Cougar a few months ago. It has just over 100,000 miles on it, but you would never guess it. It doesn't have one of the snazzy engines, but it is still a nice example of the breed.

Nice, real clean looking

That is a fine example of an 88 Cougar. I always thought that color silver looked excellent with chrome rims. Might be an idea for you.
It has the 3.8 instead of the 5.0. I would have preferred the V8 for obvious reasons, but the car was given to me by a nice young lady who did not want to see her first car modified, but instead preserved. It's not every day that someone offers me a free car.
Welcome aboard. I can't see pics though. Considering I'm the only one who can't, it's probably the work filter blocking them
Thats how I got my Fairlane.
The pics are on photobucket. Your work filter must not like that site.
She looks good. My brown two tone cat almost looks that color in poor light.
Yay, I can see it now (switched computers haha).
Wow that's clean.
Very clean. Congrats.
Man that thing looks brand new. What's it smell like??
It doesn't smell like a new car, but it smells a lot better than most vehicles its age. I have to give the previous owner credit for having taken immaculate care of this Cougar.
She said that when it needed new tires, she even went to a lot of trouble to be sure that the same style whitewalls were purchased. While I am no fan of whitewalls, I admire her dedication.
VERY nice. Gotta love Texas for improving the longevity of a nice ride.
The crazy thing is that it spent its first few years owned by an old lady in New Jersey, but only had around 20,000 put on it. The second owner then drove it in the Northeast for a couple of years before moving to Texas. It is mindboggling that it stayed in such great shape.
