Well after partially sorting out my hosting issues I was finally able to get pics up.
Last weekend the 84 XR-7 was hauled away.... :( As I was taking it apart I realized it was in much worse shape than I remembered when I took it off the road 4 years ago.

Not much left on it. Isn't it strange how hard it is to part with them, even though there is nothing left?
come on Chuck you know i could of used that front bumper man
i dont know if i could part with my car even if i replaced it with something i like just as much, thinkin about that ram made my connection to my car better and i really dont think i could have parted with it.
It has been broken.....twice....it was shiznit.
I can be so difficult to let something go like that. You have the tendency to look at it and see it how it was 25 years ago... not how it is now. I use that same "tunnel vision" as inspiration for rebuilding the '86.
Did you keep that aluminum spare?
I've seen worse.......driving around.
I had to weigh out the time and $$$ to fix the body issues of a rust belt car that had seen FAR too many Indiana winters over getting something more solid. Could I have fixed it? Perhaps. Could that time and energy be better spent on something else? Definitely.
Didn't save the spare. Thought about it, but I have no use for a 4-lug spare as all my Foxes are 5-lug. I didn't feel like messing around w/ trying to keep it or sell it.
I wanted the car out of that garage so the 84TC can get out of the elements.
I'm not saying you should have kept it. I'm just saying I've seen worse cars than that driving around, which is scary.
Oh, booooooo:beatyoass::beatyoass::beatyoass: you wasted an awesome car!:mad::eek: I would've told you I'd buy that hood and then never paid and bitched about shipping. Booooo.
/Dumb
Just kidding.
:sorry: for your loss, chuck.... lol...
how much did that spare weigh?
Just a tiny bit less than a steel one. I got rid of one too.
You do have to admit, they look kinda cool all polished up. That poor Coug served well. Rust in Peace old cat.
I'm sorry for your loss.I know, that in time, wounds will heal........Screw all that.Time to move on.Keep on building and all will be fine. It's in a better place now.
, I've been hunting for a pair of those spares since like '93 when I first saw them! LOL!
Oh well. They made a bazillion of them. And kudos on killing the cat, that's one fewer ugly rustbucket we have to see here. :D lmao.. j/k.
